Steroids have obviously caused harm to the game, however they cause a great deal of damage to yourself. You face the rick of infections form using the needles, “roid rage”. The steroids change your whole body structure, your physical image, and your entire career if our are an athlete. Everyone knows the name Barry Bonds, Barry bonds made baseball history when he broke Mark McGwire’s single season home run record, and then broke Hank Aaron’s all time home run record for a career. Bonds has wanted to play the last few years however no team wants to pick him up. Recently as of a few days ago Bond’s agent has released a statement “it is pretty much impossible Barry Bonds will ever return to the game, he wanted to play last season and in 2008 and no team wanted him so in 2010 a return for him i would say is impossible”.

In recent years history as been made in baseball. The home run ball has really been a fixture in the sport. In 1998 Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa combined to make that baseball year exciting. The two put on a show for everyone one to watch, both were hitting home runs at a rapid pace. They were chasing history, the single season home run record set by Roger Maris. Maris hit 61 home runs, and everyday Sosa and McGwire were battling head to head. McGwire broke the record and finished the year with 70 home runs and Sosa finished with 66.

The players to use steroids range from some of the greatest to ever step in between the lines to ones who are on the cusp of reaching the big leagues. Players in the minor leagues feel they need to use the steroids to enhance their game to reach the next level. Big time players you wonder why they would ever consider using steroids, they use them to keep up with the top players in the league. However many top players do not cheat the game. Bud Selig the head of major league baseball is ultimately the one who has to due wit hall this controversy. The court was a downward movement from baseball, kids have looked up to these stars and in the end they are fakes

The mitchell report unleashed many of great stars who have played in the sport known as americas great pastime. Big name stars were caught for cheating the game and using steroids. This has been the most tantalizing thing to every happen to baseball. Many felt these great athletes have done no good to the game, they simply tarnished their whole careers.

I came across a website containing many anti smoking ads. I found this one very interesting:

I never new someone could look so bad at the age of 42. Turing 42 you aren’t that old and this lady looks like she is a great grandma who could pass away at any giving moment. This ad just shows how smoking could do to you.

controversy?

The new Calvin Klein underwear advertisement portrayed on a billboard is drawing a ton of controversy already 30 comments on this one page. This ad contains celebrity Eva Mendes in sheer lingerie with a male model.

I feel as if this ad is telling one that if you wear Calvin Klein underwear then you will be in the situation of either one of these two pictured above. The opposite will be drawn to you and all over you.

From Art:21 i found the section of “play” very interesting. I liked how Grant Hill a former basketball player started off talking about how you always visualize and athlete live, but you never seen an artist at work you only see the finished project. Athletes are always faced wit obstacles and so are artists. Jessica Stockholder is an artist and she is always faced with new tasks she has to taken. For instance she was taking on paper art which is a style she has never done before. Jessica Stockholder loves the challenge of taking on a new art, she feel as if she has just entered a battle. Her art work is amazing she uses a bunch of objects and collaborates it into a work of art.

Your introduction was good; I liked how you started off. The term “social deviant lies behind a keyboard and screen” was good. In the second paragraph you clearly state your opinion on how the internet affects lives. It was really good how you put in outside information about your cousin. It went exactly with that you were saying about Jessica “Autumn Edows” from the Frontline Documentary. In your conclusion you used good example to back up what you were saying through out the essay. I wouldn’t change much although it was a little short.

Your essay was very good and to the point. You clearly sated how you feel. I like the beginning how you started the essay of with a quote, “ a journey of a thousand sites begins with a single click”. This quote draws you right into the paper, it catchy. You had good example to prove how the interent could be a world of vile and horrific things. I though it was really good how you did your own research and included some facts from the 100 things you should know list. The facts were very interesting and it keeps the reader interested and you will not lose focus. Your conclusion was good and it was good to end with a question, becaue the reader with contine to think even when he is done readingthe paper.The essay was organized and had good structure. There is nothing i would really change about this article. The essay was well written.

Your essay was good, you stayed on point. I like how you started off the essay with some background knowledge about Danah Boyd. You pulled out very good information from the article “Viewing American Class Division throughout Facebook and Myspace”. The informartion is very descriptive and opinated that you must keep reading, you will not get bored or lose focus becaue the information keeps on drawing you in. I found it good and interesting where you put in questions other people have thaught of from what Danah Boyd has said. My only suggestion would be to break down the second paragraph, you could probably break it down into two more paragrpahs. Other then that the essay is good.

Advertising in sports

Advertisements always draw people in. Every sports advertisement has either the leading rusher in the NFL, the best scorer in the NBA, or the best hitter in the MLB.

For instance when i type in under armour baseball gear, i get Jose Reyes of the New York Mets. Nobody would be drawn into purchasing gear from the under armour company until they see one of the best in the game wearing it.
